Rational prescription and use of drugs
According to the the article published by Medical Council of India (MCI), “Every physician should, as far as possible, prescribe drugs with generic names and he/she shall ensure that there is a rational prescription and use of drugs.”It's your right to ask your doctor to mention the name of generic drugs so that you can save more and get healthy.

I think MCI has taken good steps advising doctors to write generics name because by doing so patients can ask for cheaper drugs rather than going with costly branded drugs having same composition
